Every Duck Has Its Day
I sure misread this UCLA-Oregon game. Oregon is quicker, more focused, more aggressive, making some great interior passes, and shooting lights out from the field. Put it together, add in the fact that Arron Afflalo is ice cold, and it equals a 10 point halftime lead for the Ducks that feels more like a 20 point mountain.UCLA has been a 2nd half team all season, but this feels like the Ducks game to win. I fully expect to be witnessing a sea of yellow storming the court in about an hour.
Hopefully, there's a sense of deja vu for UCLA fans watching this game. If there's any silver lining for UCLA fans, it's that in 1995, UCLA also took their first loss in early January (Jan 5) in Oregon. That season turned out alright for Bruins fans.

All in all, not a bad loss for the Bruins (though judging from your previous post, a bad loss for you!) First loss of the year comes to a talented Oregon team on the road, in a game in which UCLA battled back all the way to a tie game. Not a bad first loss to the season.
agreed. i think the pac-10 regular-season winner will have at least 3 losses too, so to lose in eugene is fine. as long as bruins avoid the bad loss (any game at home save Arizona and on road at ASU, OSU, Cal, Stanford), UCLA will be fine.
