As part of a massive layoff Monday, the LA Times fired writer and editor Jay Christensen, who along with being an exceptional talent for the Times, is the workhorse behind one of the best college football sites on the web: The Wizard of Odds. Meanwhile, the LA Times continues to pay Bill Plaschke to fill columns with his one sentence paragraphs. It just ain't right.
